What is First Mondays?

First Mondays is a quarterly networking party for New Yorkers, which arose after the tragedy of 9/11. It was and is a way of bringing New Yorkers together, to meet new friends and re-connect with old ones. Like the mythical Phoenix rising from its ashes, the concept of "First Mondays" is that every month, every week, every day, offers a new opportunity for a new "start" a new "beginning", for each of us, and for our City and world as a whole. It is a celebration of the creative spirit of renewal and rebirth which New York City, "the Big Apple", the multicultural melting pot of the world, stands for. It is open to all New Yorkers and all visitors to our great city. It began as a monthly event in October 2002 and became a quarterly event in 2004.

The events are sponsored by the law firm of Schneider, Pfahl & Rahme, LLP and by other companies. The events have a non-profit component in that each event has a different local, New York charity or "cause" which is featured. We welcome advice, suggestions and assistance from all.
